Talent Gets You Seen. Strategy Gets You Recruited.
College Recruiting Support for Student-Athletes in the Bay Area
What Makes the StrivePath Approach Different
College athletic recruiting is not just about talent. It is about timing, outreach, and knowing how to position your student in front of the right coaches at the right schools. Most families underestimate how early and how actively the process needs to start.
StrivePath works with student-athletes on a college athletic recruiting strategy that covers both sides of the equation. Our team includes a former college athlete who has been through the recruiting process personally. We combine that experience with the academic and admissions expertise that most recruiting services do not offer. Your student gets a complete plan, not just a platform.
How It Works
Step 1
Assess
We take time to get to know your student's goals, grade level, and timeline. This gives us a clear starting point before we do anything else.
Step 2
Plan
We build a clear academic and college roadmap that works for your student. No two students are the same, so no two plans look alike.
Step 3
Guide
Our team supports your family at every stage of the process. We stay with your student from middle school all the way through senior year.
What We Work On With Your Student

Academic Eligibility and NCAA Prep
NCAA eligibility requirements catch families off guard more often than they should. We help student-athletes stay on track academically so no opportunities are lost on a technicality. Grades, course selection, and standardized testing all factor in earlier than most people expect.
What's included:
- NCAA and NAIA eligibility requirement review
- Academic planning aligned with recruiting goals
- SAT/ACT strategy and testing timeline
- GPA monitoring and course selection guidance
Recruiting Profile and Highlight Video
Coaches form impressions quickly. A strong recruiting profile and a well-made highlight video are often what get the conversation started. We help student-athletes put together materials that are professional, clear, and actually get watched.
What's included:
- Recruiting profile development and optimization
- Highlight video strategy and content guidance
- Athletic resume and bio preparation
- Online presence setup for coach review

School Research and Athletic Fit
Finding the right school means looking at more than just the sport. Program culture, coach style, academics, and location all matter. We help student-athletes and their families build a realistic list of schools where they can thrive on and off the field.
What's included:
- School list development by division level and fit
- Research on programs, coaching staff, and team needs
- Academic program evaluation alongside athletic fit
- Identifying schools actively recruiting in your student's position
Coach Outreach and Communication
Reaching out to college coaches is one of the most misunderstood parts of college athletic recruiting. The timing, tone, and content of every message matters. We help student-athletes communicate with coaches in a way that is confident, appropriate, and effective.
What's included:
- Personalized outreach email templates and strategy
- Guidance on follow-up cadence and timing
- Preparation for coach calls and campus conversations
- Managing recruiting questionnaires and coach communication logs

Campus Visits and Official Evaluations
Official and unofficial visits are some of the most important moments in the recruiting process. We help student-athletes know what to look for, what to ask, and how to evaluate an offer or invitation clearly. Going in prepared makes a real difference.
What's included:
- Official and unofficial visit preparation
- Questions to ask coaches, players, and admissions staff
- Evaluating program fit beyond the highlight of the visit
- Guidance on managing multiple visit offers and timelines
Offers, Commitment, and Application Support
When offers start coming in, the decisions get real. We help student-athletes and families evaluate athletic scholarships, financial aid packages, and program commitments side by side. Then we see the application process through to the end.
What's included:
- Athletic scholarship and financial aid comparison
- Application support for athletic department requirements
- FAFSA and financial planning guidance
- Support through the commitment and signing process

"We've worked with several college counselors for our son who is in college and our daughter who is a senior applying to college. We felt that Sunny and his team provided the most clear, concrete, and actionable advice. We feel that the input and advice we got will make a big difference."

Thank you, StrivePath! As a mom navigating our first college process, I can’t say enough about Saumya—she was patient, supportive, reassuring, and kind from start to finish. She built a realistic summer plan for my son that helped us complete the college research and essay work early, so when October 1 arrived, our applications were already submitted. The organization and calm she brought to the process were a huge relief. She reassured my son that he would have many options and celebrated each college admittance with him. We felt guided every step of the way. Get ready for Kid #2!

Strivepath really does strive for excellence. My daughter is with Strivepath for sometime now. Their counselors are very empathetic, resourceful and knowledgeable. They focus on kids mental health a lot while guiding the path for college admissions. I will highly recommend their service for anyone looking for college counseling. FAQs
Get answers to the top questions about our academic and college planning services.
When should a student-athlete start the recruiting process?
Earlier than most families expect. For many sports, coaches begin building their lists during sophomore and junior year. Starting outreach in 9th or 10th grade is not too early for high-level programs. Waiting until senior year often means the best spots are already filled.
What is the difference between D1, D2, and D3 recruiting?
D1 offers the highest level of competition and athletic scholarships. D2 offers scholarships at a slightly lower level of play. D3 does not offer athletic scholarships but is highly competitive academically and athletically. The right division depends on your student's sport level, academic goals, and what kind of college experience they want.
How important is GPA in the recruiting process?
Very important. Coaches recruit athletes they can actually admit, and academic eligibility is non-negotiable at every level. A strong GPA opens more doors and gives coaches confidence that your student will make it through admissions. We help students stay on track academically throughout the recruiting process.
What makes a strong highlight video?
A strong highlight video is short, well-edited, and starts with your student's best plays within the first 30 seconds. Coaches watch dozens of videos and make quick decisions. We guide student-athletes on what to include, how to format it, and where to share it so the right people actually see it.
Do you work with athletes from all sports?
Yes. We work with student-athletes across a wide range of sports. Our team includes a former college athlete, so we bring firsthand experience to the process alongside our college admissions expertise. If your sport has specific recruiting timelines or requirements, we factor those in from the start.
How is StrivePath different from recruiting platforms like NCSA?
Recruiting platforms give you tools and exposure. We give you a strategy. We work one-on-one with your student on outreach, school selection, visit preparation, and the full application process. The college admissions side of college athletic recruiting is where most families need the most help, and that is where we are strongest.
Do you work with student-athletes in my area?
Yes. We work with families both in person and remotely across the Bay Area. We have dedicated pages for students in Fremont, Oakland, Mountain View, Cupertino, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, San Mateo, Moraga, and Mill Valley. If your city is not on the list, reach out and we can talk through options.
